A OneEvent pilot customer recently experienced a near-emergency scenario in his home that he was able to prevent thanks to OneEvent® System alerts.
The customer’s wife, a soap maker, was boiling a pot of oil she planned to use to make a new batch of soap when she was distracted by animals that had gotten loose on the family farm. When she finally corralled the animals, she had forgotten about the boiling oil, and got into the shower. 
Her husband was about to leave the home and had just gotten into his truck when he received an alert on his smartphone, indicating rising temperature and the presence of smoke in his wife’s soap making area.
“That room didn’t have a smoke detector prior to installing the OneEvent system, so I’m really glad it was there,” he said. “I doubt our house would have burned down, but It certainly could have been much worse.”
