OneEvent Technologies President & CEO Kurt Wedig contributed a guest article to an upcoming issue of Security Sales & Integration that discusses best practices for detecting carbon monoxide, and the importance of dealers and integrators understanding CO’s risks.

The article, titled “Best Practices to Detect Carbon Monoxide in Your Clients’ Homes and Businesses,” discusses detection device location, wiring vs. battery power, and the emergence of new systems like OneEvent’s OneEvent® System, which predicts and prevents carbon monoxide leaks rather than simply reacting to presence of the gas.

“Traditional systems and CO detectors have come a long way and still do an excellent job at alerting occupants to a harmful buildup of CO monoxide after the fact, but there is still some advanced features they cannot do on their own,” Wedig writes. “Dealers should keep their ears to the ground for new and innovative solutions that can provide advanced warning and alerts.”
