OneEvent Technologies Vice President of Sales Chris Washburn will give a presentation titled “Technology Trends in Assisted Living” at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at the 2018 Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA) Spring Conference, which will take place at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.

The three-day conference, which runs March 14-16, is the largest assisted living conference in the state. WALA promotes assisted living excellence for its membership base and the industry as a whole by looking out for the interests of assisted living providers and related businesses through legislative advocacy, public awareness and educational programming.

At the core of OneEvent’s OnePrevent system is a patented AI software platform that leverages machine learning to analyze a multitude of environmental sensor measurements, creating valuable information and messages that are sent instantaneously to the mobile devices of property owners and managers. In the aging-in-place setting, OnePrevent is empowering facility operators, caretakers and residents’ families to make faster and better decisions while mitigating property damage and personal injury risk. The system identifies and predicts the onset of fires, water damage, equipment failures, food/medicine spoilage and other catastrophic events. The AI solution creates a paradigm in which computer systems can sense what’s happening an environment, and think, learn and act in response.

OnePrevent’s environmental sensors measure a variety of conditions, storing all the data in a decentralized database. The AI solution analyzes the data to learn the intimate behavior of a residential unit to understand its normal pattern, as well as the resident’s, and generates immediate alerts when an abnormality occurs. Because OnePrevent is a cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, new features and improvements happen automatically — meaning the system gets better, and smarter, with time.

Washburn will also be available in the OneEvent exhibit booth with Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Engineering Dan Parent in the WALA exhibit hall. Stop by the booth to learn more or to set up a meeting.
